After graduating as a textile engineer, with a specialization in technical textiles obtained in France, Payam moved to Quebec in 2010. He joined the CTT Group where he led a project to integrate electronics into work clothing. Subsequently, Payam continued its specialization in electro-textiles in the industry.
First as an R&D project manager, Payam has carried out numerous research projects in various fields, including the design of textile heating systems. This experience, confirming his love for the field of intelligent textiles, then led him more specifically to intelligent clothing.
In 2015, Payam joined OM Signal, where he strengthened his knowledge of innovative materials and specialized in the design and evaluation of textile biometric systems. Motivated by its interest in innovation and textile technologies, Payam joined the team of the Centre for Research and Innovation in Clothing, Vestechpro, in early 2019. In this role, Payam aims to offer its particular expertise in smart clothing to a wide range of companies.
