Marie-Pascale Pomey is a Full Professor in the Department of Health Management, Evaluation and Policy at school of Public Health at the university of Montréal, a regular researcher at the research centre of the university of Montréal Health Centre (CR-CHUM). A physician with specialized training in public health, she holds the Chair in technology and advanced modalities assessment at the CHUM, which focuses on engaging citizens and patients in the transformation of organizations and the health system.
Dr Pomey’s research interest focuses on the role that patients and their families play in transforming health systems at the political, organizational and clinical levels in order to highlight best practices. In this context, she is studying several models of patient integration at the health care facility and primary health care levels in Canada and other countries.
On the other hand, she is interested in how e-health and m-health change the relationships between health professionals and patients and the organization of the health system. Finally, she develops tools to measure the partnership of care and services.
