Hélène Mercier Brûlotte is the Montreal General Manager for SHARE NOW (previously known as car2go), the world’s largest and fastest growing free-floating carshare service with over 85,000 Montreal members and over 4 million members worldwide.
In her role as General Manager, Hélène leads efforts to further integrate SHARE NOW into the mobility fabric of Montreal and to increase awareness about the benefits of carsharing. Hélène has an extensive background in marketing and business strategies. She spent many years working in technology, more specifically in the payment industry where she played various roles from product management to strategic partnership development. Her wish now is to convince Montrealers that dreaming of a more sustainable and happy city is only possible if personal vehicle’s reign comes to an end. To prepare this future, she believes that collaboration between the public and private actors in mobility ecosystem is essential.
About
Rent a car anywhere and anytime – that’s SHARE NOW. As the market leader and pioneer of free-floating carshare, SHARE NOW has four million members and is represented in 31 major cities globally with over 20,000 vehicles, 3,200 of which are electrically powered. From registration through the rental process, all steps are performed via a smartphone app. SHARE NOW provides a sustainable solution for urban mobility and, as part of a range of mobility options, contributes significantly to reducing vehicular congestion in cities: Each SHARE NOW vehicle replaces up to eight privately-owned cars and at the same time is used up to six times more frequently.
SHARE NOW is also the largest electromobile free-floating car sharing in the world with four European cities operating with 100 percent fully electric fleets and 13 additional cities operating with partial electric fleets. Today, SHARE NOW is present in Europe and North America with BMW, Mercedes Benz, MINI and smart vehicles and continues to expand its market leadership in free-floating shared mobility. SHARE NOW is one of five mobility services under the joint venture of the BMW Group and Daimler AG, founded in 2019. The company is headquartered in the German capital of Berlin.
