Senior Associate, co-founder of Menkès Shooner Dagenais LeTourneux Architects, and winner of the 2019 Grands Prix du Design Achievement Award, Anik Shooner is one of the few women to have co-founded a large architectural firm, which she still heads today. Convinced that the architectural quality of our environment influences our lives, she has focused her career on constantly striving for excellence, and dedicated herself to creating inspiring and sustainable living environments.
With more than 30 years of experience, Anik Shooner relentlessly strives to contribute to the dissemination and outreach of architecture, as well as improving the framework that governs the architectural profession. Recognized for her leadership and dynamism, she bases her approach on a collaborative process that promotes interactivity and innovation. Anik Shooner has led many of the city’s flagship projects such as the Cité du Multimedia Phase 8, the Canadian Space Agency Headquarters, the Growing Up Healthy project at Sainte-Justine Mother and Child University Hospital Centre, the Centre for Sustainable Development, and Maison Manuvie. She currently leads several projects including the YUL Condominiums, the Université de Montréal’s MIL Campus Science Complex and the new National Bank Head Office.
