For the last 20 years, Alain Dufour has worked in various fields in democratic and economic development. Having conducted a number of missions in Africa and Europe for various organizations, included the United Nations, he also shows great interest in architecture, design and economic development. As a project director at Montréal International, an agency that works to bring foreign
investment to Montréal, he played a decisive role in edging out 34 other cities to win the relocation of the International Design Alliance (IDA), grouping three of the main international design organizations: ICSID, Icograda and IFI. His knowledge of issues and players in design and economic development makes him a key person in Canadian design and also a Key player at the international level.
